Blusher - How to apply Blush

Posted by admin in Makeup Tips

You are not quite sure where to and how to apply blusher?

It shouldn’t be too much or too less, and too high or too low.

The tips on blush application as following:

1. Before applying blusher, have a big smile in front of a mirror.

When you have a big smile, you can see the highest point of the cheek bones. Have a look on a mirror and remember where they are.

2.  Use a big blusher brush (if you are using a powder base blusher)

I don’t recommend using a tiny blusher brush, which often comes with the product. A small one is quite hard to blend a colour and is difficult to create a natural and even finish. Sweep the brush on the blusher once or twice and tap the brush few times to remove the excess.

3. Applying the blusher

Now apply the blush starting with the highest pointsof cheek bones, with gentle circular movements, and blend the colour towards hair lines.

Check both cheeks to see if they have same amount of blusher.

If you have applied too much, use a translucent powder with a powder brush or a puff to soften the colour.

Have a happy smily day.

Foundations - The Base Make Up

Posted by admin in Makeup Tips

I strongly believe that using a right foundation to the skin is the most important part of make up.

The perfect looking flawless skin tells all.

Before you buy a new foundation, please check the tips below:

Tip 1: Choose the foundation that suits your skin type.
It is very important to know what finish of the foundations will be suitable to your skin.

For Oily skin, matt finish foundation is essential, as it mattifies the skin.

For Combination skin, semi-matt is the best.

For Dry skin, sheer, satin or luminous finish is ideal, as the texture gives the skin a plumped look.

For Mature or tired skin, again sheer, satin or luminous finish. Unless you have a very oily skin, I don’t recommend to go for matt finish, because the lines and wrinkles tend to look deeper with this finish.

Tip 2: Colour match the foundation on the jaw line

In this way, you can check the colour on your face and neck. It also gives better match than the back of your hand.

Tip 3: Always choose the foundation that matches your skin tone, even if you want a darker or paler look.

Want to try a bronzed or an English rose complexion? Even if you do, always remember to choose the foundation that matches your skin tone. Otherwise, you may look the odd one whose face and body are different colour. It’s far better to use a bronzer or a highlighter to contour the tone.

For fake tan users, observe and remember the tone you can maintain and acheive. It’s best to check the colour few days after applying the fake tan.
